  • Toddler Nora charms church choir concert by stepping forward and conducting the music.
  • Her parents, both musicians, say Nora’s fearless creativity is part of their joyful family life.
  • The supportive choir instructor is praised for encouraging Nora’s lively expression.

Nora Gross captivated the audience when she left the choir lineup during a Christmas concert and confidently took the stage. The crowd erupted in applause as she sang, danced, hugged her instructor, and even conducted the choir, inspiring smiles on and off camera.

Her parents, Jayna and Otto, were not surprised by her boldness, describing Nora as naturally confident and unafraid to express herself. The couple, both deeply involved in music, believe Nora’s spontaneity reflects the creative energy that fills their home.

“She’s very free,” Jayna says. “She’s very confident. She’ll sing, dance. No fear.”

Otto adds, “She’s definitely brave…getting in front of a group of, 3, 4,000 people—I don’t think that fazes Nora at all.”

The Gross family’s musical home encourages creativity through singing, dancing, and playing instruments. Their four children often join practices, bringing music and happiness wherever they go.

Jayna praises choir instructor Beth Kolwyck for nurturing Nora’s enthusiasm. “The expression of freedom, I think that is the heart behind creativity, behind music, behind love. I’m grateful that that was encouraged,” she shares.
