  • A TikTok user posted a video showing a bulldog attacking its stuffed pig toy but when a tabby cat makes his way towards him, the dog backs away.
  • Post owner @beastie25 explains that Alex the cat rules the house.
  • The video clip has been viewed millions of times and commenters are laughing out loud at the display of bullying from a cat to a dog.

A TikTok video posted by beastie25 (@bellieofthebeast) opens with BGP the bulldog attacking a plush pig toy. But when the family’s orange tabby cat Alex grumpily makes his way toward him, the dog backs away.

The video text reads: “My dog acting tough against his stuffed toy VS when the orange [cat] comes to take his food.” And the internet is in stitches at how the dominant cat obviously rules the household.

The poster lovingly refers to Alex as his “fat boy” and tells him off for lording it over BGP and his other two bulldog siblings, Beast and Panchita.

And the comments section is full of how funny the viewers found the video. Cynthia R posted “He know who the boss is,” and @thatsnotaglowup agreed: “Cat looks like he could take him, [not going to lie].”

Eddie Lopez joked, “Garfield ain’t playing,” and Arya Nugraha commented: “Orange cats are straight gangsta” to which elpsycongroo ended with: “its always the orange cat.”

CEO and founder of Philadelphia-based training school Opportunity Barks, Leigh Siegfried said that the video is proof that Alex the cat sure is in charge of the household.

Siegfred added, “When the cat pushes in to hold the space and then bristles, and the hair comes up and the ear comes back, it’s absolutely communicating ‘yo move.’ The bulldog yields, and moves out of the way, drops its gaze to the side, as if to say ‘oh s***.’”

Alex exerts his presence, instilling fear in the dog, no matter if he is bigger or not.

Dogs who have been “cat-broke” or have lived with cats, usually yield to felines. And BGP is cat-broken.

Siegfred adds that body language between interspecies should be monitored to avoid fights like when dogs growl — a thing that cats do not like.  There are times when the owner has to mediate to maintain the peace.  In time, they can become best friends with proper training and guidance.

Did you notice what @beastie25 wrote in the caption?  It reads: “All jokes, miss my big dude.”

At the ripe age of 15, Alex passed away in March. BGP, Beast and Panchita could be missing him too.
