  • Social media has a new sensation— 102-year-old Julia Fulkerson.
  • Grand daughter-in-law Angie Contreras filmed her while she joined a class of first-graders online physical education.
  • Fulkerson did the stretching and aerobics with the class.

You are never too old to enjoy the benefits of a good exercise.  And when you do it with a class filled with first-graders, it surely is going to be fun.

This is what got the social media abuzz and smiling. The now viral video shows 102-year-old Julia Fulkerson joining her 6-year-old great-grandson Brody’s online physical education class.

Fulkerson happily did aerobics and stretching with the first graders.  The more than a century grandma already has six grandkids and four great-grandkids.  But with her moves, you certainly would not think it.

It is no surprise however as at 100, Fulkerson still drove a car and worked for a mining community in Ajo, California.

When the pandemic began, Fulkerson was separated from her family.  But when Brody’s parents got vaccinated, the grandma was finally able to see Brody.

Angie Contreras, Brody’s mom said that she talked with her son’s teacher for Fulkerson to meet the class.  But Fulkerson beat her to it when she joined in on the fun exercise.

Contreras filmed the session and said, “I couldn’t stop laughing and I thought it was the sweetest thing.” She added that she gets a kick out of Fulkerson.

Contreras said, “My favorite quote whenever anyone asks what [grandma’s] secrets is, she says, ‘Dancing on tables and kissing boys.’”

The video that Contreras posted on Instagram was shared instantaneously by news outlets and other accounts.

Fulkerson is actually the grandmother of Contreras’ husband, Joel and enjoys living in her small town.

With the popularity that the video has been getting, Fulkerson might just get more than the usual attention.
