Josh’s father, Craig, reached out to a local biker group for help in cheering up his son.

Expecting around 50 bikers, the family was astonished when approximately 1,500 riders showed up, creating a spectacular convoy.

Josh, dressed in a unique black suit crafted by his mother, expressed his amazement:

“I never in my wildest dreams imagined this many bikers would be in one place for one person.”

His feelings of isolation were replaced with a sense of belonging and support.

“The last three years were very difficult for Josh, but he kept going, did his exams, and now he’s all done,” shared his mother, Frances.

The emotional moment left her speechless as she witnessed the overwhelming turnout.

Some even brought birthday cards, as Josh was turning 16 the following day.

“I know bikers are family, but this is extraordinary; we’ve had messages from all corners of the globe,” Frances noted.

The family’s experience highlighted the challenges faced by Special Educational Needs (SEN) children in schools.

“Bullying is prevalent in all schools, but SEN children have the worst experiences because there’s not enough understanding (of their situations). I hope this changes things,” she added.

Josh, who has epilepsy and autism, aspires to be a pediatric therapist to help other kids like him.

Following the event, his parents launched a modest GoFundMe page to support his future, raising 1,500 so far.

Josh’s father reflected on the widespread impact of the event:

“The love and support from this community [and] the stories we have heard from people reaching out to us because they—or their children—were bullied as well, it’s overwhelming.”

Josh also shared advice for those facing similar challenges:

“With the bullies, if you just ignore them and power through, you can expect a great result.”
