In an attempt to offer her furry friend a change of scenery, Kelsey Sampson brought her 3-year-old Australian shepherd poodle mix, Tommy, into the office.

However, Tommy quickly discovered that the nine to five routine wasn’t quite his cup of tea.

Typically, Sampson sends Tommy to daycare when she heads to work, but occasionally she likes to shake things up by taking him along.

Anticipating a quiet day at the office, she thought it would be an ideal time for Tommy to embark on “an office adventure.”

Initially, Tommy was thrilled to meet new faces and greet his “colleagues.”

But after the initial excitement, the “reality of work” set in, leaving him less than amused.

“When we walked into the office, Tommy was very excited to see new friends. But after about an hour or so, his excitement wore off,” Sampson shared.

It was clear from his expressive face that Tommy was “ready to leave work.”

Sampson captured Tommy’s displeasure on video and shared it on TikTok (@kelsandtommy), where his unimpressed look resonated with many.

The clip quickly went viral, garnering over 1.3 million views and more than 173,500 likes.

“The video was taken during that settling down time when he was no longer having fun,” Sampson explained.

The relatable expression on Tommy’s face sparked laughter and comments from viewers, with many echoing his sentiments about office life.

Despite Tommy’s lack of enthusiasm for the office, Sampson’s coworkers adore his visits.

“My colleagues get very excited when I bring Tommy into the office,” Sampson noted, adding that they consider him “the best kind of distraction.”
