Children are so impressionable, and the role that adults play in their lives can change them forever. Mr. Bubba Cable is the facilities manager at First Baptist Clinton in Clinton, Mississippi. The preschool children love Mr. Bubba, and he loves the kids right back.

“Mr. Bubba does everything for us. I mean, all we have to do is text Mr. Bubba, and he’s on it,” Weekday Preschool Director Kim Evrard shared. “He doesn’t just take care of us. He takes care of our whole church.”

The school held its annual “Dress As What You Want To Be When You Grow Up Day” and one 4-year-old boy proclaimed something that would warm everyone’s hearts: “When I grow up, I want to be Mr. Bubba.”

Mr. Bubba didn’t know about the special day until the kids got to school. In the heartwarming video that’s now gone viral, we see the precious moment the two Mr. Bubbas meet.

“I love kids. I’ve got four grandbabies myself,” Mr. Bubba shared. “To me, there’s no more honest person than a child.”

The attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed by viewers.

“The video made people so happy. He was ready. Keys, walkie and cell phone.”

The touching moment resonated with others in similar roles.

“i have one little girl who always walks up to me and has a conversation with me when she sees me, she’s four. she makes me enjoy being a janitor at a preschool.”

For Mr. Bubba, the impact goes beyond one sweet moment.

“I just hope that they grow up and follow the Lord and do good things in life. There’s so many bad things in this world, you just hope that they don’t get mixed up with the wrong groups.”
