Black Kitten in Engine Brings Pure Joy to Anniversary Couple
Quick Smiles:
- A tiny black kitten was rescued from a car engine
- The couple’s Halloween anniversary became extra special
- The rescued cat now has a loving new home
A high school teacher in Sandy Springs, Georgia, got an unexpected surprise on her way to work earlier this month. “It was a pretty wild story,” she told GNN—and it happened just in time to celebrate her Halloween wedding anniversary.
“My husband and I were driving to pick up birthday cupcakes for my journalism students,” she continued. “We heard this tiny meow coming from under the hood and knew we had to help.”
They carefully popped the hood and found a small black kitten wedged near the engine block. Firefighters arrived quickly and used gentle tools to free the frightened little feline without harm.
The couple took the kitten home, named him Pumpkin, and decided he would stay with them permanently. “He’s our little anniversary gift,” the teacher said with a smile.
