- His selfless leadership shines through — staying behind to help the reluctant shows true compassion
- This pivotal moment united a community and laid the foundation for a faith embraced by billions today
On this day 1,404 years ago, something extraordinary happened that would change the course of history. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) embarked on a journey with his followers from Mecca to Medina — a migration known as the Hijrah.
This wasn’t just any journey. It marked the very beginning of the Islamic calendar, a moment so significant it became the cornerstone of Islamic history.
The entire departure spanned about three months, and here’s where the story gets truly heartwarming. While many of his followers traveled ahead, Muhammad chose to remain behind. Why? To personally convince and comfort those who were hesitant or afraid to make the journey.
That act of selfless leadership speaks volumes. In a moment when he could have focused solely on his own safety and mission, he stayed to ensure no one felt abandoned or forgotten.
The Hijrah wasn’t just a physical journey — it was a testament to courage, faith, and community. It showed that true leadership means caring for every single person, especially those struggling with doubt or fear.
Today, billions of Muslims around the world honor this pivotal moment, drawing inspiration from the Prophet’s compassion and unwavering commitment to his community.
It’s a beautiful reminder that historic acts of kindness, courage, and faith continue to ripple through time, touching hearts and restoring hope in humanity.

I have heard quite enough about Islam recently, and their leader. Kindness, courage and faith wasn’t in the hearts of the men who brought down the Twin Towers of New York, or the hoards who chant “Death to America” on a daily basis.
When stories begin to circulate about Islamic contrition for their crimes against humanity, I will consider restoring my subscription to your missive.

What a joke, I’m sure there was at least one charitable act by Jeffrey Dahmer that could be highlighted. He was still an evil scumbag yet did far less evil than Mohamed the pig humper.

Islam is not a faith – its a belief in one human being, not a living God. Why do you think Islam has becomes so radical today? Do you really think the story of Mohmad is a feel good story when you look at the thousands of Muslims being killed in Iran today? Islam is a evil religion that want everybody dead except Muslims.
