A Dog’s Big Heart For a Man Experiencing Homelessness Gets Him Back On Track [Video]

• While on a walk with his Dad Colzouti, Sora the dog stuck a friendship with a man who was down on his luck.
• The man, Bruno, was living on the streets and Sora showed him love while his Dad provided him with his basic needs.
• Now, because of the love and help from both Sora and Colzouti, Bruno is off the streets and is back on the right track.

For them, everyone deserves to be loved.

On one of their walks, Sora met a friend named Bruno who was at that time, experiencing homelessness.

Colzouti wrote, “Sora stopped short in front of a young man sitting in front of his tent. Their eyes meet and Sora leaps forward to go see him. Reflexively, filled with preconceived ideas, I stopped Sora immediately. I acknowledge [the man] and decided to leave, but Sora refuses to move. He looks at Bruno. I call him back, but he refuses to budge. I decided to attach his leash and nudge him away, and that’s when Sora looks at me with eyes only a dog can give. Bruno gave a big smile.”

From there, began a friendship that changed Bruno’s life.  Sora showered love on Bruno and his dad offered him food and clothing.  Colzouti also helped Bruno in moving in the right direction.

Colzouti even posted videos of the beautiful friendship and meetings between the two which turned the page on Bruno’s life.  Things have been getting better for him.

And now, Colzouti is happy to announce that Bruno is off the streets!

The daily visits may have ceased but Sora and Bruno have arranged for weekly playdates.  Their friendship has grown deep and teaches us about loving our neighbor, even those outside our species.
