Quick Smiles:

  • Bad Bunny celebrated Puerto Rican culture with a historic Super Bowl halftime show.
  • He honored family, reggaeton legends, and united Latin American pride.
  • Special guests and surprises made it an unforgettable celebration.

Bad Bunny delivered a vibrant homage to Puerto Rico and the Latino community during the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. His set opened with touching tributes to heritage, culture, and those who came before him.

The event began with a farm worker in a sugar cane field joyfully saying in Spanish.

“Qué rico es ser latino.”

Bad Bunny then emerged among workers wearing traditional pavas, highlighting the roots and perseverance of Latino laborers.

He performed his chart-topping songs while making his way past re-creations of Puerto Rican countryside scenes, lively businesses, and even a group playing dominoes. Real-life boxers and the famous Villa’s Tacos were featured, bringing authentic local energy to the show.

A highlight was the on-stage wedding of a real couple, whom Bad Bunny personally witnessed and celebrated with.

Honoring his mother, Lysaurie Ocasio, his football jersey displayed her name and birth year, a heartfelt touch for his family.

His set piece La Casita brought the spirit of a Puerto Rican home to the stage, featuring celebrity guests like Cardi B, Jessica Alba, and Pedro Pascal. The tradition of the party de marquesina, where friends and family gather, came alive for millions of viewers.

Nods to reggaeton greats included a remix of Daddy Yankee, Tego Calderón, and Don Omar.

“You’re listening to music from Puerto Rico. From the barrios and the projects,”

Bad Bunny announced before performing another hit.

Larger-than-life surprises included Lady Gaga performing a salsa version of her hit “Die With a Smile” and joining Bad Bunny for a lively dance. Their joyful performance radiated admiration and respect.

The show concluded as Bad Bunny named every country in North and South America, holding a football inscribed with “Together We Are America,” uniting fans in celebration.

    His lyrics are pure filth.

Does the producer of this article understand Spanish? Bad Bunny’s act was the filthiest anti-American half-time show in NFL history. There was nothing “healthy happy” about it.

Even though Bad Bunny had a record viewership, TPUSA’s alternate halftime show garnered around 25M viewers. Also, swearing in Spanish during the Superbowl (I nearly spelled Superbowel) is still against FCC regulations, and the Superbowl (I nearly did it again; maybe that’s because it’s becoming more like crap) should be heavily fined for that.

I don’t know why bragging about a degenerate, profanity-infused and highly sexualized halftime show is considered either happy or healthy news, just because it’s in a foreign language.

In our party of about 150 people I don’t think there were two that could understand it and I hope that the crotch grabbing guys got shots or treatment for whatever they caught! The Super Bowl is NOT the place for political statements and I can only hope that the NFL, or whoever was responsible for picking this “entertainment”, suffers the same fate as Bud Light did in 2023 when they attempted to “normalized” abnormal lifestyles. Had we been able to get the other halftime entertainment we would NOT have watch that trash!
