- The Felix Foundation now offers emotional, spiritual, and financial support to families navigating infant loss—proof that love never ends
British comedian Russell Howard and his wife, Dr. Cerys Morgan, welcomed a baby boy named Felix in 2026. Tragically, their precious newborn died shortly after birth, leaving the couple heartbroken.
Months after privately mourning Felix’s passing, Russell opened up about his family’s experience at the hospital, sharing a message that would touch hearts around the world.
“During the most devastating time of our lives, the hospital staff who cared for us showed extraordinary compassion, kindness, and humanity,” Russell wrote. “They helped us navigate an unimaginable heartache and gave us support when we needed it most.”
A Promise Born From Love and Loss
Russell explained that the love, kindness, and compassion his family received following their baby’s passing inspired them to start the Felix Foundation. Their bereavement midwife, Lauren, became one of their biggest supporters during the darkest chapter of their lives.
“After losing her own baby, Lauren retrained as a midwife so that she could help other families going through what she had been through,” Russell shared. “Her care meant more to us than we can ever put into words.”
The couple made a solemn vow to each other during their grief.
“We were overwhelmed by the care we received, and we made a promise to each other: that we would try to help other families who find themselves facing the same devastating circumstances.”
Turning Tragedy Into a Legacy of Hope
The Felix Foundation now serves the emotional, spiritual, and financial needs of parents, siblings, and other close family members affected by miscarriage, premature birth, stillbirth, neonatal death, or related bereavement. Russell Howard and Cerys Morgan want other families to know they are not alone in their grief.
“The Felix Foundation is named after our beautiful son,” he shared. “We miss him dearly, every single day, but we take some comfort in knowing that his name will stand for kindness, compassion and laughter, and that his legacy may help other families through the darkest moments of their lives.”
From unspeakable loss has emerged a foundation built on love—a testament to the human spirit’s ability to transform pain into purpose. The Felix Foundation stands as living proof that even in our deepest sorrow, we can still create light for others walking similar paths.
