Employees at a food bank in Phoenix were left scratching their heads when they saw an entire U-Haul truck of donated diapers arrive at their location, knowing that a middle-schooler was behind the enormous load.

It was the collected proceeds of 12-year-old Sloan’s 5th annual “Diaper Drive,” an event she has been organizing since she was just eight years old.

Each year, Sloan rallies her community to help families who struggle to afford diapers, an essential item that often gets overlooked in traditional food donations.

“I just wanted to help moms who can’t always buy diapers for their babies,” Sloan shared about her motivation.

The drive has grown significantly since its humble beginnings, with neighbors, local businesses, and friends all pitching in to support her mission of kindness.

Food bank staff expressed their gratitude for the thoughtful donation, noting how the diapers would directly impact families who rely on their services.
