Quick Smiles:

  • Costco will close all U.S. stores on September 1st for Labor Day.
  • The company values employee work-life balance and fair treatment.
  • Stores will reopen as usual on Tuesday, September 2nd.

Costco will give its employees a well-earned day off this Labor Day by shutting down all its locations nationwide. This move highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to worker well-being and a healthy work-life balance.

As stated on their website, Labor Day is one of seven major holidays observed by Costco alongside Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, Easter, and Memorial Day.

“Good for @costco, allowing their employees to observe standard holidays,” a fan wrote.

Another commented, “So @Costco & ⁦@costcocanada⁩ close on Labor Day each year? Costco treats their employees & member-customers much better than @SamsClub⁩. I’ve known that for years and will back it up.”

Shoppers have the rest of the holiday weekend to pick up their favorite items, and doors will open again on Tuesday, September 2nd.

Wishing you and the Costco team a joyful, restful Labor Day filled with positive moments!
