Taro the cat was one such pet.

His unusual habit had his new parents wondering, “Is he gonna start walking one day?”

The Scottish Kilt kitten simply loved standing on his hind legs — like a creepy, tiny human.

Born to a breed that is a cross between Scottish Fold and Munchkin cats, Taro has a small, kitten-like appearance and extremely short limbs.

His parents believe that the curious cat loves sitting upright to get a better view.

His parent shared, “I noticed he would stand when he was curious about something. He will stand when we’re having dinner. He will see what we’re eating. It’s another way of saying, ‘Give me some of what you’re eating.’”

While Taro belongs to one of the smallest cat breeds, his sibling belongs to one of the largest. Zippo, his big brother, is a Maine Coon.

Despite their difference in size, the two have become best friends.

The cat siblings have become quite popular on Instagram — although it’s probably Taro’s quirk that makes everyone laugh. You just can’t help but be amused at the sight of him standing!
