  • A dog who was earlier abandoned by his family, waits in the pouring rain for them to return for him.
  • Angela Simmons rescues him and takes him to foster care with the help from Auction For A Kaws.
  • The dog, now named Murphy, has remained good-mannered despite his circumstances and is now on house trial with a potential adopter family.

When Angela Simmons received a call informing her of a friendly dog that was tied to a couch near a road, her heart broke.  She knew she had to get to the dog fast.

And so, she went out into the rainy streets of South Carolina to look for the dog.  And when she spotted the drenched dog through her car windows, she immediately went down and approached the dog.

Even with his paws and nose irritated from being outside without the right care, the dog was sweet and approachable.  It even warmly responded to her.  Despite its circumstances, the dog held no grudges.

The dog, now named Murphy, was brought to a foster home with the help of Auction For A Kaws. This would allow the dog to experience having a family and would teach him how to behave when he is opened up for adoption in the future.

An Auction For A Kaws staff member said, “Once he entered foster care, he proved to be the biggest love bug.”

Being with a family who cared for him made Murphy enjoy rides in the car, lying in the sun, snuggling in warm blankets and going for walks.  These were activities that he might have never experienced before.

He thrived in foster care and retained his ability to love all living things and maintain his sunny disposition.  The staff member added that Murphy is very intelligent as he is eager to learn.  He also loves other dogs and has amazing manners.

What a sweetheart!

Good news is, Murphy is on a house trial with a possible family.

May you have your forever home soon, Murphy!
