Dog Finds Her Way To Mom’s Workplace After Missing for Weeks

• Abby has been missing for 3 weeks and she just casually walked in on her mom’s workplace.
• The dog was not skin and bones, evidence of her being fed and sheltered.
• Abby’s mom is thankful for whoever took care of her while she was missing.

In a now viral video on social media, 4-year-old rescue dog Abby reunited with her mom June Rountree at a Walmart store.

The joyful reunion was witnessed and captured on video by Rountree’s fellow worker Danielle Robinette.

Robinette wrote, “I tell you what Abby is one smart girl she came to her mommies work to find her!! I’m so glad she found you Mrs June!! Such a wonderful story I just had to share with everyone.”

Even if Rountree has no idea how Abby came to know where she worked but she is so glad that the dog did.

The separation started last November 8 when her mom went outside and saw Abby’s discarded leash and collar.

She and her husband searched the neighborhood for Abby to no avail.  They even asked their neighbors and the local animal shelter for any sighting of their beloved pooch.  The days turned into weeks and the couple’s hopes of ever finding Abby was slowly fading.

But then by some sort of miracle, Abby strolled into the Walmart store on the day that Rountree was working her shift.

The fur mom could not believe her eyes that the dog that just walked in would be her missing Abby. But when she called her and the dog came running to her, that is when it all clicked.

Rountree said, “I bent over and hugged her. I completely lost it then. I couldn’t speak. I was in complete shock and just couldn’t believe it.” 

How Abby disappeared and if anybody took care of her while she was gone are still unclear.  But she did not come home skin and bones, so she must have been kept well. Roundtree can only express her gratitude for whoever gave Abby food and shelter.

She added, “It really is just unbelievable. It’s like a dream. You can’t make this stuff up.”
