Quick Smiles:

  • Teens playfully toilet papered the local police department.
  • Officers responded with a good-natured prank of their own.
  • The tradition brought laughter and lightheartedness to the community.

The teens of Heflin, Alabama, continued their annual tradition of Halloween mischief by choosing the local police station as their target this year. The officers discovered toilet paper draped over the station, the roof, and even patrol cars.

“It was up on the roof, the spare cars in the parking lot — they got us good,” said Police Chief Ross McGlaughn.

Embracing the spirit of playful retaliation, police planned a friendly comeback by toilet papering the teens’ homes. Their fun response kept the mood light while also making sure the community knew it was all in good humor.

“As long as they’re doing this, they’re not getting into trouble doing something else,” McGlaughn said with a grin.

Stories like this remind us that a little laughter can bring a community closer together. Share your own memories of neighborhood pranks to spread the cheer!
