Stranger Delivers Lost Wallet for Holiday Joy

- A Michigan couple’s lost wallet was returned by a kind stranger.
- The woman drove over 20 miles to deliver it to their home.
- All cards and cash remained untouched inside the wallet.
Dave Hillyard and Shelby Lukas braved the festive crowds in downtown Detroit to enjoy the city’s annual Christmas tree lighting. Their night took a turn when Dave realized his wallet was missing after a fun evening exploring the city.
They searched everywhere and even returned the next morning, but had no luck finding it. Checking their Ring camera, Shelby spotted a woman at their door late at night, holding Dave’s wallet.
“It was his wallet in her hand. I’m like, ‘Oh my God. It’s in her hand. It’s at home!’”
This thoughtful stranger not only found the wallet but also drove from downtown Detroit to their Farmington Hills home, making sure it was safe in their mailbox with everything intact. The couple now hopes to meet their Good Samaritan and express their gratitude with a special gift.
