Quick Smiles:

  • Arizona teen finds a wallet with $300 and chooses honesty over temptation.
  • Cody Chalmers’ good deed leads to an unexpected reward: an electric bike.
  • A community member gifts Cody the bike he was saving up for, recognizing his integrity.

In the sunny town of Chandler, Arizona, a young man named Cody Chalmers recently made a decision that would bring him unexpected joy.

On May 2nd, while riding his bike, Cody stumbled upon a wallet. Inside, he discovered $300 in cash along with several credit cards.

Despite being in the midst of saving for an electric dirt bike, Cody chose to prioritize honesty over a quick gain.

He promptly sent his mother a photo of the ID found in the wallet. With a bit of online detective work, she managed to track down a phone number.

Cody shared his thoughts, stating, “I thought that someone would feel really bad if they lost it, so I was like, I better return this.”

He recalled how his father once lost a wallet, teaching him the value of doing the right thing.

His mother, Carrie Strecker, couldn’t help but express her pride on a local Chandler Facebook page. She shared how Cody humorously remarked that he was “a Good Samaritan now HUH mom?”

Now, Cody rides proudly around Chandler on his sleek black e-bike, a gift from a company aptly named “Integrity E-bikes.”

This tale of honesty and generosity has resonated widely, showcasing the ripple effect of a single good deed.

Cody’s story is a reminder of the good that still exists in the world, one act of kindness at a time.

Hurray for a wise and generous young boy!Just when I’ve been despairing over the overwhelming preponderance of selfish-hearted individuals who are willing to support the disgusting egos in the country right now, I see a glimmer of hope for a future return to the principles that used to prevail in a sick and plunging country. Cody–and others like him–will carry the USA back to where it used to be.
