Troopers Rescue Bear Cub in Heartwarming Interstate 78 Response

New Jersey State Troopers became wildlife heroes after finding a lone bear cub in a roadside ditch along Interstate 78. The tiny traveler was safely secured and brought to the barracks for temporary shelter.
Officers coordinated with the Department of Environmental Protection to make sure the cub received professional care. Photos from the rescue show the curious cub checking out his new surroundings from the backseat of a patrol car.
“He’s under arrest for being too cute,” one observer joked on social media about the rescue.
During the encounter, the trooper spoke softly to keep the animal calm while navigating the brush. The cub let out a small squeal before being safely bundled into the squad car.
Quick Smiles:
- Troopers from the Perryville Station responded to the unusual call to rescue the cub.
- Social media users suggested the cub should join the K9 unit as the latest recruit.
- The cub is now safe and receiving specialized attention from environmental officials.
These officers went above and beyond to protect a vulnerable member of the local ecosystem. Their quick thinking highlights the diverse and heartwarming tasks that state troopers handle every single day.
