Dog Is Heartbroken As He Watches the Last Snow Melt [Video]

- Storm loved the snow since the first day his owners brought him home.
- Every year, he spends most of his time playing in the snow.
- Recently, the weather in Michigan has started to warm up, and Storm sensed that the snow will melt sooner than expected.
Storm has been obsessed with snow from the first day his family brought him home. Every year, he gets so thrilled for winter and spends the entire season playing in the snow as much as he can.
Storm’s mom, Stephanie Larson, told The Dodo that the dog spends 50 percent of his day in the snow.
“Much of the time, he is covered in snowballs and completely soggy by the time we can force him to come in. He is always extremely morose at the beginning of spring … He definitely holds onto winter as long as he can.”

Every winter, Storm’s parents make him a snow pile on the deck so that even if the snow on the grass melts, he can still enjoy his snow adventures a little longer in the big, fluffy pile.
Michigan’s weather has recently warmed up. Larson suspected Storm’s snow pile on the deck wasn’t going to survive much longer — and Storm sensed it as well.
“He noticed right away since there was no longer snow on any other parts of the deck and minimal snow to walk in on our walks,” said Larson.
Since December, the snow pile has taken several forms. Storm had been enjoying it all winter, and now it was time to say goodbye. Storm spent the day with the pile as it slowly melted. He rolled on it and snuggled up against it, saying farewell to his beloved winter in spectacular fashion.
The pile eventually melted and vanished, but fortunately for Storm, it soon came back.
“It did fully melt on the fifth, but the following Monday we got snow, so now it’s back,” explained Larson.
The pile is still small, but Storm doesn’t seem to mind. He cherishes every opportunity he has to play in the snow and wishes he could do so all year. In the summer, his family sets up ice baths for him outside, but it’s still not the same.
Larson said some people have told them to move somewhere cold throughout the year, like Antarctica.
