  • Supported by family, she continues to cherish precious moments with her children.
  • Her honest reflections highlight the power of hope and resilience.

Tatiana Schlossberg, daughter of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg, has opened up about her recent health challenges in a heartfelt essay. She revealed her diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia after the birth of her second child in May 2024, describing her experience with honesty and grace.

Doctors discovered unusual white blood cell counts, leading to her diagnosis of the aggressive disease. Schlossberg underwent a stem cell transplant from her sister, which briefly put her in remission, but she later relapsed and joined clinical trials.

“A normal white-blood-cell count is around four to eleven thousand cells per microlitre. Mine was a hundred and thirty-one thousand cells per microlitre,” she wrote.

Despite hurdles, including relearning to walk and navigating new treatments, Schlossberg is determined to treasure every moment she spends with her children. She draws strength from her family, including her siblings Rose and Jack, and her husband George Moran, whom she married in 2017.

“For my whole life, I have tried to be good, to be a good student and a good sister and a good daughter, and to protect my mother and never make her upset or angry,” Tatiana reflected.

She continues to focus on living in the present and creating lasting memories. Schlossberg’s candid words offer encouragement to others facing adversity.

“Mostly, I try to live and be with them now,” she shared. “But being in the present is harder than it sounds, so I let the memories come and go. So many of them are from my childhood that I feel as if I’m watching myself and my kids grow up at the same time.”
