A Journey from Hate to Healing

Quick Smiles:

  • Former far-right leader now helps others step away from extremism
  • One act of courage inspired a new mission for change
  • Education, compassion, and open dialogue offer hope

Nigel Bromage once spent nearly 20 years as a leader within Britain’s far-right movement, but his story is now one of redemption and positive impact. After breaking free from this world, he created Small Steps, supporting others in leaving extremism behind and building brighter paths forward.

Drawn in during his teens, Bromage’s life took a dramatic turn when he stood up against hate to protect a family, marking the beginning of a new mission rooted in empathy. His powerful journey led him to community work, where he draws on his experiences to raise awareness and provide mentoring for those seeking a way out.

“We have to use education, compassion and understanding, and we have to listen to people who feel the extreme right offers them a voice. We have to fill that void,” says Nigel Bromage.

Through open conversations with families and individuals, Bromage advocates for understanding and inclusion, offering hope that, with kindness and dialogue, positive change is possible.
