Beluga whales have captivated many with their friendly demeanor and cheerful expressions, often earning the nickname “canary of the sea” for their wide range of vocalizations.

With an impressive ability to hear and use echolocation, these gentle marine mammals were recently drawn to the enchanting sounds of singing bowls performed by Demetra, a Sound Healer and Vocal Alchemist.

Floating on a raft, Demetra played her crystal singing bowls, and the nearby belugas swam gracefully around her platform, responding with curiosity and their own melodies.

Each singing bowl creates a distinct sound based on its shape, size, and material, with water and different mallets further changing the tones.

Belugas are protected under the Marine Mammal Protection Act, and their global population is roughly 136,000, though regulations may limit interactions in various regions.

The whales clearly appeared to enjoy the live performance, gathering joyfully and contributing to the unique musical moment.
