Chihuahua Overjoyed at Her 15th Birthday Party, Big Quinceañera Style

Daisy, a loving Chihuahua, has been bringing nothing but happiness to her owners for more than a decade.

When the time came time to celebrate Daisy’s 15th birthday, her family thought deeply about how to make her smile even happier.

Tracy Nguyen, Daisy’s owner, told The Dodo that her family wanted to throw her a big quinceañera to celebrate her amazing life and in remembrance of her roots. 

Daisy’s family went to great lengths to ensure Daisy’s special day was one to remember. That was undeniably the case.

Daisy’s relatives and friends gathered to surprise her, and the house was specially decorated for the occasion. It was their opportunity to show Daisy how much she meant to them.

“We could all tell that she could feel the love,” said Nguyen.

But, of course, no birthday celebration is complete without a cake. And the family had something very wonderful in store for Daisy. Rather than getting Daisy just any birthday cake, her family commissioned one that was customized for her, complete with Daisy’s lovely picture. The dog was completely smitten. 

Nguyen said the dog’s eyes welled up with tears when they brought out the cake.

Daisy is a senior dog who is getting on in years, but that didn’t stop her from savoring every moment of the celebrations that had been arranged for her.

“She definitely had a blast!” Nguyen said.

In the end, the celebration was a huge success. Daisy was overjoyed to be surrounded by so much love from the people she cares about the most. Her family was happy to have done it for their dog. 

“Daisy is truly the heart of our family, and we’ve been so grateful to have such an amazing, funny, chonky and loving companion in our lives for so many years,” said Nguyen. “We love her with all our hearts.”
