Quick Smiles:

  • Hospital staff organized a surprise wedding in just two days for Aliana and Bailey Gleason.
  • Despite a challenging cancer diagnosis, love and joy lit up their special day.
  • The couple’s spirit and resilience deeply inspired everyone involved.

When Aliana learned she had a rare cancer and limited treatment options, marrying Bailey became their top priority.

Staff at the Swedish Hospital in Colorado rallied together, arranging a heartfelt ceremony completely free of charge so the couple wouldn’t have to wait.

“There isn’t always a lot you can do,” nurse manager Matt Turrie said. “But when you can bring love and joy into someone’s life, you do it.”

Aliana’s courage and positivity shone throughout, touching all those around her even as she underwent difficult treatments.

The couple felt their wedding day was perfect for them.

“I wouldn’t change anything,” Bailey Gleason shared.

“Me either,” replied Aliana Gleason.

Friends and supporters have also started a fundraiser to ease financial burdens as Aliana moves to hospice care, showing how deeply their story resonates.

Acts of kindness remind us that even in hard times, love and compassion make the biggest difference. If this warmed your heart, share it with someone who believes in the power of community and hope!
