Leonardo DiCaprio recently jumped into a frozen lake to save his dogs.

The actor recounted the story during a segment of Entertainment Weekly‘s Around the Table for his new film Don’t Look Up.

During the sit-down discussion with director Adam McKay and co-stars Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Tyler Perry, and Jonah Hill, DiCaprio shared that his rescue huskies, Jack and Jill, were visiting the set of the Netflix film when they all ended in the freezing waters.

He shared, “Basically, they both fell in a frozen lake. I didn’t understand what you do in a frozen lake.”

Lawrence added, “One of the dogs fell in, and he jumped into the frozen lake to save the dog. As soon as he pushed the one dog out of the pond, the other one jumped in.”

DiCaprio continued, “Well, the other one started licking the one that was drowning, and then we all were in the frozen lake together.”

He added that the pups were shocked by the freezing waters since they are more used to the warmer waters of southern California.

Lawrence joked, “I’m sure you guys are all wondering, I was too, he immediately got naked in the car,” referring to what happened after the chilly encounter.

DiCaprio and his girlfriend, Camila Morrone, rescued Jack and Jill back in 2020. They also recently rescued another husky named Sally.
