The Academy of Classical Christian Studies girls basketball team from Oklahoma City offered a moving example of sportsmanship when they returned their championship after finding a scoring error.

The squad thought they had clinched the win in an exciting match against Apache High School with a last-second basket, but a video review by Head Coach Brendan King revealed that Apache was the rightful winner.

Coach King shared,

“As soon as I walked out of the locker room, my stomach kind of turned into knots.”

After discussing the mistake, the team requested to revoke their championship and presented the award to Apache High School.

Amy Merriweather, Apache’s coach, expressed her gratitude,
