  • A Texas groom-to-be organized a special preschool bridal shower for his fiancée, Zoe Kampf.
  • The couple first met as toddlers at Shlenker School, where Zoe now teaches.
  • Family, preschoolers, and teachers celebrated this love story’s full circle moment.

Zoe Kampf entered her classroom at Shlenker School in Houston expecting a normal day, but instead found her fiancé Sean Folloder and her preschool students ready for a surprise bridal shower. The children wore floral garlands and bow ties and presented her with a sash, tiara, and veil.

“When I walked in, I was really surprised,” Kampf told the Jewish Herald-Voice. “They had cookies and decorated the classroom. They gave me a sash and a veil and crown. It was really cute.”

Sean and Zoe’s story began as 4-year-olds at Shlenker, where Sean’s grandmother, Barbie Freedman, was a teacher. Years later, Freedman reunited the pair while working as a camp director, setting them on the path to romance.

Now both teachers, Sean proposed to Zoe just before Christmas 2024, and they plan to marry soon. The bridal shower celebrated not only their journey but also the joy they share with their school family.

“They are a wonderful couple and really devoted to one another,” Freedman said. “It has been really fun to watch them grow up and grow together.”

Sean expressed his happiness, “It was great to surprise her at school. She is such a great teacher and everyone, from her kids to her kids’ parents to the staff, loves her.”

This heartwarming event shows that young love can grow into something truly special, especially when supported by a caring community.
