Hollywood icon Robert Redford, who passed away at 89, touched not only the world of film but also the lives of his family through his warmth and devotion.

Redford was twice married, first to Lola Van Wagenen, with whom he welcomed four children, and later to Sibylle Szaggars, who was by his side at the time of his passing.

“The hardest thing in the world is when your children have problems. There have been so many hits on our family that no one knows about, and I don’t want them to, for my family’s sake,” he shared in 1998.

“We were just starting our lives; I was just starting my career in New York. Of course it was traumatic, and how that plays out over time, I don’t know. We had to deal with it. You have to move on,” Redford told Esquire in 2017.

Shauna Redford, born in 1960, is a private individual and talented painter who found love with author Eric Schlosser; together, they have two children, Anna and Conor.

Amy Hart Redford, accomplished in film and theater, reflected on her childhood: “As a kid I witnessed the process of my dad making films and the extraordinary cast of characters that came together to make it happen.” She has three children, Eden and twins born in 2010.
