Award-winning footballer Iqra Ismail is opening new doors for inclusion in the world of football. She is celebrated for her leadership on and off the pitch, making significant strides for underrepresented groups.

“I got to the point where I stopped asking for the space at the table,” she shared. “I just created my own table instead.”

Ismail has made her mark as both a player and a coach, leading by example and championing spaces for Muslim women and others at clubs in London.

“Knowing that I am giving others space to play means the world to me,” she said. “More than scoring any goal or pinging a pass 60 yards.”

Her work as Director of Women’s Football at Hilltop Football Club and as Female Refugee Football Project Coordinator for QPR In The Community Trust demonstrates her dedication to seeing more people thrive through sport.
