Quick Smiles:

  • Louisa County High School students repair and donate cars to single mothers in need.
  • The school partners with Giving Words to support struggling families.
  • Acts of kindness provide hope and community for recipients and students alike.

Students in Louisa County’s automotive technology program use their skills to give back, fixing donated cars and presenting them to single mothers facing tough times. This thoughtful project brings not just transportation, but also hope and stability to families in their community.

The partnership with Giving Words has assisted dozens of mothers over the past eight years, responding to each family’s unique needs and helping them regain their independence.

Jessica Rader, a mother of three, shared how much receiving a car meant to her and her children.

“It’s not just about the car, it’s about community,” Jessica said. “Kids who never met me cared about me enough to put hard work into a vehicle to make sure myself and my kids were safe. I got to meet all of them. It was breathtaking.”

This inspiring story reminds us how education, kindness, and teamwork can build a stronger, more caring community.
