Fans caught a fresh glimpse of Zac Efron’s style when he showed off platinum blond hair during a fun day on the water with friends. The actor was seen enjoying sunshine, clear blue water, and good company, sporting a bold new hair color while donning a life vest and holding onto a board.

In another image, Efron grinned alongside friends as the sun set, his blond hair mostly hidden under a backwards cap. The outing, captured in a cheerful Instagram post by Keleigh Teller, radiated warm and vibrant summer energy.

This isn’t Efron’s first time switching up his hair. He briefly went blond in 2019 while promoting “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile,” after losing a double dare to a friend.

“It was kind of a double dare sort of thing,” he explained.

He mentioned he admired Eminem’s signature blond style growing up but admitted keeping the color is a challenge.

“No,” Efron said when asked if the look would last, noting, “so much work and chemicals.”

He once experimented with blond in 2016, blending golden ends with brown roots at a movie premiere. Through it all, Efron’s playful willingness to try new things continues to delight his fans.
