A delightful video has taken social media by storm, showing a beagle named Lindo behaving just like his feline sibling, a Maine coon cat named Rhaegar.

Their owner, under the TikTok username @landoandray, shared the amusing clip on Friday, showcasing the one-year-old beagle engaging in typical cat activities.

“When your dog was raised by your cat. Birdwatching, hunting, loafing,” reads the layover text on the video, with a caption that adds: “He raised him well.”

Despite the common stereotype of dogs and cats being sworn enemies, they can actually form close bonds.

A 2020 study by Italian scientists, published in PLOS ONE, surveyed over 1,270 pet owners with both cats and dogs. The findings revealed that these pets can coexist harmoniously, with over 64 percent of them playing together.

Interestingly, the study also found that 58 percent of the pets chased each other, and 41 percent had occasional fights.

Almost two-thirds of the pets were reported to playfully “ambush” one another.

Moreover, cats tend to ignore dogs more often than the other way around, with 42 percent of cats ignoring canines, compared to 28 percent of dogs ignoring cats.

Cats were also more prone to attacking dogs than vice versa.
