  • These teens have kept their joy alive despite six straight losing seasons.
  • Daily practice still feels like a celebration of friendship and growth.
  • The community is rallying behind their positive attitude and resilience.

One might say it’s a very Canadian story: that the Dartmouth High School Spartans haven’t won a game of baseball in six years, yet still feel like winners.

Watching them during training, fielding grounders and pop flies, they don’t look like a team who tend to lose most of their games via ‘Mercy rule’.

Instead, the players show up every day with smiles, laughter, and genuine encouragement for one another.

“We just love playing together,” one student-athlete shared.

“Winning would be nice, but the friendships we’ve built are what really matter.”

Coaches and parents alike have noticed how the team’s unwavering positivity has lifted the entire school’s spirit.

Even in defeat, the Spartans walk off the field with their heads held high and their bonds stronger than ever.
