Once the baby was found, officers quickly began CPR as others cleared the airway, and the infant soon regained a pulse.

Paramedics transported both the woman and her baby to safety, where they are now stable and expected to recover fully.

The Fort Worth Police Department shared,

“We are beyond proud of the life-saving actions performed by Sgt. Nichols and Officer Bounds for their bravery and quick response to this terrible scene. We are also grateful to the Fort Worth citizens who saw someone in danger and, without hesitation, assisted our officers.”
