  • Harold and Frances Pugh, married 70 years, renewed their vows with a dream wedding.
  • They fell in love at a skating rink as teenagers and eloped in the 1950s.
  • Family and friends celebrated the milestone, praising their lifelong commitment.

Harold, 91, and Frances, 90, finally enjoyed the wedding they once missed out on, seven decades after eloping as young sweethearts.

The vow renewal took place in Hopewell, Virginia, filled with flowers, an aisle, and the joyful presence of loved ones.

“After all these years, I still love him, I cherish him, I appreciate all he’s done for me over these years,” Frances shared.

The officiant praised their adventurous spirit, saying, “Traveling, riding roller coasters in your 90s, hosting Bible studies in your home, we see in you a pair blessed by God with years of life and the wisdom to take advantage of every opportunity to live.”

Friends and family described the Pughs as an inspirational couple who always put others first, celebrating both their love and their kindness.

Surrounded by loved ones, their heartfelt “I do” reminded everyone of the enduring power of love and devotion.

May their story inspire us to cherish every moment and create joyful memories with those we love.
