Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, opened up to his audience about experiencing a stroke during his concert tour last year.

Despite having severe pain during a Louisiana show, he continued to perform and later sought medical help after the tour reached Houston.

“The doctor was like, ‘You had a stroke,’”

He revealed this to his fans.

He shared a humorous moment

“The first thing I thought was like, ‘Oh, here I am still copying Jamie Foxx,’”

referencing Foxx’s widely reported health scare.

“The first thing was like, ‘I’m letting everybody down.’”

Doctors then discovered a

“hole in my heart,”

leading to two surgeries.

He reflected on his journey, saying

“They say everybody has two lives and the second life starts when you realize you have one. You’ve got one life, guys and I gotta be honest. The life I’ve lived with you guys has been such a blessing. I love seeing and performing for you guys.”

Glover also shared his wife’s words

“If this life is a flavor, soon as I’m done give me another scoop.”

He wrapped up his thoughts with advice

“You should be living your life how you want because it can only get better. If we have to do this again, it can only get better.”

His sincere and optimistic update follows last year’s tour cancellation, reminding everyone to cherish every moment and face challenges with hope.
