Enzo The Dog Retraces Steps To Look For Mom’s Lost Keys [Video]

Enzo the dog is an expert in finding things.
So when his mom Caroline lost her keys during their walk, he was able to find them.
Enzo came to Caroline’s life at a time when she needed emotional healing from losing her previous dog.

Pet owner Caroline lost her beloved Dalmatian, Aston, in 2019. She thought that the hole in her heart that Aston left would not heal but Enzo mended it.

Caroline said, “[Enzo] has definitely brought me back and up again. We have that same strong and unique bond as I shared with Aston, but in a very different way … with Enzo I feel the best is yet to come.”

And when Caroline loses her things, she relies on Enzo to find it for her. Just like one day when she lost her keys while on a walk in their neighborhood in Sweden.

“[I] thought I’d be looking for them myself,” Caroline recalled. She added, “When I realized I could let Enzo have a go.”

Just by sniffing on the grass, it did not take long until Enzo came trotting back to her with the keys dangling from his mouth.

And Enzo did not ask for any treat in return for his good deed. It was innate for him to help his mom. He did not need any reward.

Caroline said, “He doesn’t ask for treats or anything when he finds things. I think he gets rewarded from the actual work, and to some extent my happiness, telling him how proud I am of him.”
