Athletes from 93 nations paraded proudly as Italy made history by lighting two Olympic cauldrons in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Sixteen winter sports, including crowd favorites like skiing, skating, and hockey, will shine throughout the Games. Hosting the ceremony were Mary Carillo and Terry Gannon, joined by Olympic champion Shaun White as athletes from around the world celebrated this international moment of unity.
