The turning point came when a well-known pizza reviewer arrived for one of his renowned One Bite pizza reviews.

Owner Will Fagg, described as a “guardian angel” by a part-time employee, had been a fan of the reviewer, especially admiring his efforts during the COVID-19 lockdowns to support small businesses.

When the reviewer learned of the pizzeria’s dire situation, he was taken aback.

Will Fagg explained to a local news station that the main challenge was the cost of a liquor license, a necessity to compete with a new market across the street.

The reviewer, after hearing the story, insisted on paying for his pizza, humorously remarking, “you can’t tell me you’ve got no money and then not ask me to pay for it.”

After tasting the pizza, he showcased the call for help on the pizza box, declaring, “there’s no way this place should be goin’ out of business.”

Impressed by Fagg’s dedication, he inquired about the financial needs to keep the pizzeria afloat for a year.

Fagg estimated $60,000 for operational costs and the liquor license.

The review quickly went viral, amassing millions of views online, leading to a bustling Christmas Eve at Tiny Brick Oven.

“We’ve never had a line like this. We’ve never had a line like this,” Fagg expressed to another news outlet, busy at work in his red chef’s coat.

As Christmas Eve turned into Christmas Day, donations poured in, bringing hope and relief.

“It’s an incredible feeling. I’ve always had a lot of community support. It’s overwhelming, and I really thank everybody so much,” Fagg shared gratefully.
