  • Pet mom Rhonda Meeks was surprised to find her dog Lily’s tongue turned blue when she returned to her car.
  • Lily was not looking straight at her and seemed to be hiding her tongue.
  • Turns out that Lily helped herself to mom’s drink of blue icee thus her tongue turned blue.

When Rhonda Meeks stopped by a store to grab a water bottle, she was not expecting to return to her car with her dog Lily’s tongue turned blue!

And instead of panicking, she burst out laughing!   She knew that Lily would be okay as she left the air condition on and she was gone for not more than two minutes. Lily, on the other hand, was trying to play it cool, as if nothing happened, which made Meeks laugh even harder.

Meeks said, “When I got in the car, she didn’t look at me at first. She just looked out the window.”

Meeks then looked for the reason why Lily’s tongue was blue.  And there it was — her blue icee.  Lily cannot deny not drinking it as the evidence was clearly showing in her tongue!

Meeks said that she thought Lily would not be interested with the drink but the ice in the cold drink lying around just proved to be too much of a temptation. “She absolutely loves loves loves ice. Any time any of us goes to the refrigerator, she jumps up and runs to it.”

And Meeks certainly was not mad at Lily even if the cold drink contained too much sugar for Lily.  She believes sharing is caring.  Plus, she got a good laugh out of it.
