In Louisiana, a young boy named DJ experienced something truly remarkable during what could have been a tragic event. On the Fourth of July, DJ’s family, including his mother Krista Parker, visited a resort in Marksville, LA.

Although DJ is typically afraid of water and avoids it, he somehow found himself in the pool, nearly drowning in a matter of seconds.

His parents immediately sprang into action, with Krista and her husband administering CPR to revive him.

“Lord, cover my baby with your blood in the name of Jesus. Lord, please give me my baby back,” Krista fervently prayed as they worked to save DJ.

Water poured from DJ’s mouth, and although his eyes were bloodshot and unblinking, he soon began to cry and vomit as emergency crews arrived.

Later, DJ shared a profound experience with a nurse, saying, “No, Daddy, no momma. God is real. I saw him. I saw him and uncle Quimaine.”

The story quickly gained attention on social media, with users expressing their awe and gratitude. One person wrote, “Glory to God Most High! God is definitely real. What a powerful testimony!”

Another commented, “God is so good. Thank you Lord for returning this child,” while someone else remarked, “Wow what a beautiful story.”

Thankfully, DJ emerged from the incident with only a small amount of water in his lungs. His experience has deeply impacted his family, prompting Krista to encourage parents to become CPR certified.

She also expressed regret for not having DJ wear a life vest near the water.

Krista emphasized DJ’s words about God, who he described as being made up of all colors. This realization led her to conclude, “We need to love one another and be a unit and God is real. Get closer to God. You seek him, you shall receive.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) highlights that drowning can happen quickly and silently, noting that formal swimming lessons can significantly reduce the risk.

DJ’s story serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of water safety, CPR training, and perhaps, a little faith.
