Hey there, lovely readers!

It’s your friendly neighborhood blogger here with another heartwarming story that will surely put a smile on your face. Today, I want to share with you the incredible journey of Queen, a little terrier mix who spent a whopping 400 days in a shelter before finding her forever home, all thanks to the unwavering dedication of animal activist Scott Poore.

Now, let me tell you, Queen’s story had me reaching for the tissues and smiling from ear to ear at the same time. Scott runs an amazing organization called “Mission Driven” that raises funds for animal shelters, and when he heard about Queen’s plight, he knew he had to do something about it. You see, Queen had been overlooked time and again at the Great Plains SPCA in Merriam, Kansas, and Scott couldn’t bear to see her depressed and lonely any longer.

Scott decided to take matters into his own hands and moved into Queen’s kennel at the shelter. Can you believe it? For seven days and seven nights, he shared his belongings and bedding with Queen, spending one-on-one time with her, determined to stay with her until she found her forever home. Talk about dedication!

“I honestly did not know if I was going to be there 24 hours or a month but I was prepared to do either,” Scott shared. “Seven nights in an animal shelter is quite a long time I have to admit.” And let me tell you, it wasn’t a walk in the park. With all the barking and Queen’s playful nature, Scott barely got any sleep, but he didn’t mind one bit.

His sacrifices were all worth it when a father and son from the Kansas City area saw a report about Queen and her new roommate, and they decided to step up and adopt her. Scott couldn’t be happier for Queen, and he thanked the adoptive family for opening up their hearts and home to this incredible dog who truly deserves a long and loving life.

As for why Scott didn’t adopt Queen himself, he explained that as an animal advocate, he comes across needy animals every single day, and he can’t adopt them all, otherwise he’d have a thousand animals in his house! Instead, he quickly moves on to the next animal who needs his help, showing his unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of animals in need.

We’re so grateful for kind-hearted people like Scott, who speak for those without voices and go above and beyond to make a difference. Queen’s story is a shining example of the power of compassion and dedication, and it reminds us all that there’s always hope and happiness waiting for every animal, no matter how long they’ve been in a shelter.

So, let’s spread some joy by sharing Queen’s heartwarming journey and Scott’s incredible mission of love. Together, we can make a difference and bring smiles to even more animals in need.
