Much like humans, dogs also enjoy the liberty of having some playful outdoor time in the park. But everyone, bipedal or quadrupedal, requires a rest every once in a while. A recent TikTok video posted by user @hthorogood perfectly captures one such playful interlude between a golden retriever named Dylan and his German Shepherd friend, Alfie.

The video features Dylan and Alfie playing joyfully when suddenly, Dylan decides it’s time for a break. As Alfie keeps sprinting, Dylan casually rolls onto the green landscape to catch his breath. The video caption humorously states, “When it’s all too much for Dylan.”

The lovable pair belongs to Helen from Wiltshire, United Kingdom. She shared, “Alfie, who is 9, is my dog, while Dylan, aged 6, belongs to my work colleague.”

Further, she mentioned, “Both dogs come to work with us and are best friends. Dylan is often featured in my TikToks… Dylan is trained as a therapy dog and has a very gentle nature. Alfie, though just a pet dog, acts like he’s the boss.”

According to pet wellness experts, dogs need much more sleep than humans – they can sleep up to 20 hours a day based on their age and health condition. Most adult dogs average around 11 to 12 hours of sleep daily, comprising of 25 to 30 percent daytime naps.

Puppies, despite their limitless energy, can sleep for up to 20 hours, consuming about 60 percent of the day and 40 percent of the night. Older dogs, more prone to fatigue, can sleep for more than 20 hours in a day, evenly distributing their sleep between daytime and nighttime.

Dylan’s leisurely pose quickly gained popularity on TikTok, drawing viewers from across the platform. The reactions from the TikTok community have been filled with joyful laughter and shared sentiments.
