Meet Munji. He’s a typical cat — playful and sometimes very feisty. But, other times he can be extra sweet and gentle. What Munji loves best is hiding.

Munji enjoys finding fun new hiding places to nap in, whenever he gets the chance. But unlike some other cats, it’s actually a lot easier for Munji to hide. Why? Because he’s completely black.

The little fellow has a habit of blending in wherever he is. That means, his family often has no idea where he is and gets surprised when they finally spot him.

“[He] hides and surprises me often,” Rin Kim, Munji’s mom, told The Dodo.

One of Munji’s favorite spots to nap in is his cat bed, which is shaped like a cave. Normally, it’s not a good place to hide, but because Munji blends in so well, sometimes all you can actually see is a pair of eyes.

If Munji closes his eyes while he’s snuggled up in his little bed cave, it’s impossible to tell that he’s in there. If he opens them, it seems like there’s a pair of floating eyes in the void, and that can definitely be a little spooky if you’re not expecting it.

Of course, Munji’s family is used to his antics.

They posted a picture of Munji becoming a void in his bed on Instagram — and everyone is crazy about it.

“Everyone else’s reaction was cute,” Kim said. “It was lovely. It was amazing.”

Munji’s family is so glad that their black cat is bringing joy to everyone.
