Clingy Dog Keeps Wanting Brother’s Attention During Zoom Classes

• Jake was living as a stray who had not been receiving attention until he was rescued.
• Now that he has a forever family, he wants to get as much love and attention as possible.
• He even joins in on his brother’s Zoom classes to vie for his attention!

Jake started out his life as a stray outside a factory in Puerto Rico until The Sato Project rescued him and helped him get a forever home. Now, the loving dog gets all the love and attention he longed for before.

Jake’s mom, Lauren Westling, told The Dodo, “I can’t imagine how this dog survived in the wild without people to love on him, he is hands down the most affectionate dog I have ever met. He is so funny and quirky, too, and doesn’t seem to know he’s a dog. He regularly sits like a human on the couch.” 

Jake also loves his two human brothers, Weston and Owen, but he’s closer to Owen, whom he follows everywhere.

Lauren shared that Jake even has a nightly routine: he waits by Owen’s bedroom door, and as Owen is tucked in, “Jake lays with him and refuses to leave the bedroom.”

Jake was absolutely thrilled that he can spend more time with Owen now that he’s doing Zoom classes at home.

The pup didn’t seem to notice at first that Owen still had to attend online classes since he didn’t pay attention to his brother’s laptop.

But once he realized that the classes were cutting away his precious time with his brother, he decided to do something about it.

It first seemed like Jake was curious about Zoom and wanted to join in!

But it was eventually made obvious to everyone that all he wanted was Owen’s undivided attention.

Jake kept trying to vie for his brother’s attention by pawing at him or snuggling him!

Lauren shared, “Owen loves Jake, we all do, and his distractions, while probably not funny for the teachers, are quite amusing to us. Jake feels as though he should be the center of attention at all times and he makes that known.”

Just like the rest of the family, Owen doesn’t mind. Jake is beloved to them!

The affectionate pup had not been receiving attention when he started out in life, so now that he has a forever family, he wants to get as much love and attention as possible.
