  • Scott Poore’s charity, Mission Driven Goods, has helped many longtime shelter dogs finally find their forever family.
  • His latest mission is Sally Sue, who has stayed in the shelter for two years.
  • He decided to rent out a huge billboard to reach more people and find Sally the loving home she deserves.

Scott Poore has been helping longtime shelter dogs get noticed through his charity, Mission Driven Goods.

One of Scott’s recent stunts even involved him sleeping on a hard kennel floor for seven nights with Queen the pitbull. Thanks to the media attention that his stunt received, Queen was finally adopted into a loving home.

His latest mission now is to help another longtime shelter resident, Sally Sue.

Now 11 years old, Sally has spent the past two years at the Always and Fur-Ever Animal Sanctuary in Spring Hill, Missouri.

Scott noticed that Sally fits the pattern of other longtime shelter dogs who get overlooked time and time again.

Scott shared, “Every single animal shelter had a row of animals, and at the very end there was always that ‘same dog,’ as I call it. The one that had been here for a year. The one who has signs that say, ‘NO OTHER DOGS! NO KIDS!’ and they have all these restrictions.”

He pointed out that we should focus on ‘what’s right’ instead of ‘what’s wrong’ with the dog.

Sally has a perfect home for her out there — they just haven’t been reached yet.

So Scott decided to rent a huge billboard to advertise for Sally on I-35 in Mission, Kansas.

Scott declared, “All we need is that one right person to go by, make eye contact with the billboard, and we’re saving another life.”

He hopes that someone will adopt Sally soon so another dog in need can be featured and adopted next.

Renting a billboard is not cheap, but getting the message out there is worth it, says Scott.

Scott urges everyone to consider adopting before going to a breeder or pet store.

“There’s so many great animals in here that just want to be loved,” he said.

If you or someone you know is interested in bringing Sally home, you can check out more details here. You can also help Scott spread the message even further by sharing Sally’s story.
