Meet Hammy and Olivia. These adorable corgis not only resemble the sweetest loaves of bread, but they can also talk! That is, the hilarious TikTok skits they star in give them comical voiceovers to let them express their thoughts.

The pups’ dad, Chris Equales, started making content in March 2020 as a way to pass the time during quarantine.

The skits featured the two adorable corgis (usually in costumes), playful camera work, cartoonish sound effects, and comical voiceovers.

The pair’s misadventures on TikTok have since earned them over 4 million followers!

Chris told Daily Paws, “It was absolutely amazing to us to see how widely accepted it was from the TikTok community.”

It turns out that the skits not only make people laugh, but also save people’s lives.

Chris has received many messages from family members of hospitalized kids, who say that the videos brighten their days. A 911 operator even said that she sends the videos to uplift people who call in when they contemplate self-harm.

Chris shared, “We put our heart and soul into every video that we do, and it’s just to make sure you can smile for 15 seconds at a time and we can be that escape. That’s something that’s going to fill our hearts.”

Hammy and Olivia have helped produce over 400 videos in the past year!

The stars may seem like natural actors, but Chris says that there are a lot of behind-the-scenes actions that make that happen.

Chris uses positive reinforcement and lots of treats to motivate the duo. Since the pups love treats, they have since associated filming with treat time.

“They absolutely love doing this, and we absolutely love doing this as a family,” Chris shared.
