Over a year ago, a woman’s neighbor passed away from stage 4 cancer and she left her beloved cat to her neighbor.

In a video posted on TikTok by @monicakozak8, the neighbor explained: “When your neighbor passed away [and] leaves her cat to you in her will,” and added, “Millie has made herself at home.”

The journey to Millie being comfortable did not start easy as Millie was very scared at that time. But now, Millie, who she regards as a “blessing in disguise,” is comfortable enough to lay down with her belly exposed and enjoy her new home.

She said that the woman knew that Millie would be in good hands as she has known that her neighbor has taken in strays/rescues and comes from a family of animal lovers.

The clip has now received over 2.1 million views and 581,900 likes!

RIP to the owner and congrats on the cutest fur baby!”

CandaceDowds knew the situation so well as she wrote: “My elderly neighbor passed unexpectedly. Her kids left her cat behind. I called RSPCA to report them but I did get to keep her beautiful cat.” martinezd2010 added: “That’s a huge gift! She trusted you. I don’t know who I’d trust with my fur babies.”

Even if cats have a different way of showing affection, cats do love their humans according to AZ Pet Vet.

Here are the common signs that your cat loves you:  purring, mews, chirps, kneading, rubbing on legs and ankles, licking/grooming, headbutting and rubbing the sides of their face on you, curling up in your lap, among others.

They also show distress when their loved ones pass away and lick tears when their owners are sad.
